MAY08-St2, Tanaraki, reef, UF 13590 — IWP, Red Sea, Somalia, Mayotte, Madagascar to Vietnam; intertidal, subtidal — Remarks - This is a species rarely reported affiliated to L. rubra. Serène (1984) and Galil & Vannini (1990) have examined specimens from Madagascar and Somalia, respectively, and both indicate that the species has an IWP distribution, probably because of a single record in Vietnam from Serène (1968).
