Milne Edwards, 1867: 279 (Marquesas; new synonymy, cf. Remark). - Remark: Ruppellia granulosa has been very rarely cited after its description. It is mentioned for the genus Lydia in Sakai (1976: 477). We have re-examined the type specimen (MNHN B9344, 1 male 17x25) and, after its comparison with specimens of L. annulipes collected in the Marquesas and the Tuamotu (cf. in Poupin, 1994a: 47), we consider that it is a junior synonym of this species. - Unpublished sp., coll. & det.
