World Distribution
Poupin et al. (2005: 22) - Eastern Australia (New South Wales, southern Queensland, Victoria); Tasman Sea (Middleton and Elizabeth Reefs), Norfolk and Lord Howe islands; French Polynesia, Austral Is. (Rapa I.); Easter I. Between latitude 26-37°S, longitude 149°E-144°W (Fig. 16).
Environnement : Marine - Substrat/Association : Hard bottom (rock and rubbles)
Vertical range : Intertidal - Min-Max observed: 0-5 m
Central Pacific data (Wallis & Futuna, Polynesia, Clipperton, Easter Island)
EASTER ISLAND - Pachygrapus transversus - Rathbun, 1907: 29 (Easter Island, shore). - Garth, 1973: 324 (same sp. than Rathbun, and new spp. from Hanga Piko). - Báez & Ruiz, 1985: 105 (Easter Island; specimens deposited in MNHN Santiago, coll. 1953-1968). All probably not P. transversus but P. laevimanus. - Pachygrapus laevimanus - Boyko & Liguori, 2015: 511, Easter Island.
FRENCH POLYNESIA - Pachygrapus laevimanus - Poupin et al., 2005: 18, fig. 5a-f, 14b, 15b, 16 (Rapa). - Remark - Coll. BENTHAUS Expedition (Poupin), Rapa, Haurei Bay, seashore at low tide, very abundant (MNHN B29265-269).
