World Distribution
Komai & Osawa (2006: 31) - "Previously known with certainty from Cocos (Keeling) Islands in the Indian Ocean; here newly recorded from Ogasawara Islands, Guam, Society Islands in the western Pacific Ocean (Fig. 50); intertidal to 7 m. This species appears to be widely distributed in the Indo-West Pacific."
(Komai et al., 2021, Raffles Bulletin) - Previously known with certainty from Cocos (Keeling) Islands (type locality); Japan (Ogasawara Islands and Ryukyu Islands), Mariana Islands (Guam), and French Polynesia (Society Islands) in the western Pacific Ocean; intertidal to 91.3 m (Komai & Osawa, 2006; Osawa et al., 2013). Newly recorded from Christmas Island, at depths of 1–16.6 m

Environnement : Marine - Substrat/Association : Hard bottom (rock and rubbles)

Vertical range : Shallow-waters (0-100 m) - Min-Max observed: 1-91 m
