(Takeda et al., 2022 - Bull. Natl. Mus. Nat. Sci) - Japan to Australia through the Philippines, Indonesia, the Timor Sea and the Kermadec Islands; 189–549 m depth. Farrelly and Ahyong (2019) recorded this species, with photographs, from the Great Australian Bight, 189–426 m depth.
