World Distribution
(Serène, 1984: 148) - Common in the IWP from Red Sea and East Africa to Australia and Hawaii. Including: Wallis & Futuna, French Polynesia, Somalia, Mozambique, Madagascar, Mauritius, Mayotte, Glorieuses. - Castro (2011, Zootaxa), subtidal to at least 15 m.
Environnement : Marine - Substrat/Association : Hard bottom (rock and rubbles)
Vertical range : Shallow-waters (0-100 m) - Min-Max observed: 1-15 m

Material Examined — Mayotte KUW 2009, st. 12a, La Prévoyante reef, 6-11 m, 1 juv 3.4 x 5.1 mm (field label 3.4 x 9.0 mm, in error), MNHN B32287, MNHN-IU-2009-1105.
Other records — Poupin et al., 2013c: 11, Glorieuses (Expedition Glorieuses December 2012 (new record), st. BIO 34, 1 juv. MNHN-IU-2013-7337)
Remarks — Specimen examined from Mayotte is most probably a juvenile A. floridus but the determination made with hesitation because of the very small size of the specimen.
Geographic and depth ranges — IWP, Red Sea, Mayotte (this work), Mozambic to Hawaii, French Polynesia, subtidal to 15 m.
