Pérez Farfante & Kensley (1997); Vereshchaka (1990; 2000) - South-east Atlantic Ocean; south-west Indian Ocean; Sumatra; Pacific: Hawaii; north-west Pacific; east pacific: Baja California; Seamounts Sala y Gòmez and south-western part of Nazca ridge, 25°07'-25°58'S / 85°27'-99°35'W). - Bathypelagic (30-200 m at night and 700-2000 m during the day). - Pelagic, thus probably whole French Polynesia (Society, Tuamotu, Gambier, Marquesas, Austral)

EASTER ISLAND - Sergia scintillans - Vereshchaka, 1990: 138 (Seamounts Sala y Gòmez and south-western part of Nazca ridge, 25°07'-25°58'S / 85°27'-99°35'W; 160-2000 m). - Vereshchaka, 2000: 164 (Geographical distribution; Syn.). - FRENCH POLYNESIA - Sergia scintillans - Vereshchaka, 2000: 164, fig. 62-64 (Atlantic, Indian, and Pacific oceans, including off Australia, off Hawaii, and over Nazca and Sala-y-Gomez ridges; probably whole French Polynesia and Easter Island; 20-1700m).
