Stenopus devaneyi Goy & Randall, 1984: 117 (Marquesas). - Goy & Randall, 1986: 81, fig. 1-4 (Nuku Hiva; also Sri Lanka). - Remark: this record unnoticed during our first bibliographic research and kindly transmitted by J. Okuno (e-mail 13 Nov 1999) : "Stenopus devaneyi Goy & Randall, 1984, was described from Nuku Hiva I., Marquesas Is."
AAMP, Marquesas, 2012, Nuku Hiva, Leg 3, MQ2. Yann Hubert, photo, specimen totally blank with a red spot on lateral face of carapace. No specimen and photo not transmitted by Y. Hubert, after request. This could be S. devaneyi, with same color pattern, illustrated in Debelius (2001: 116, bottom, Fieldguide).
