World Distribution
Easter Island. Distribution: Indo-West Pacific: Red Sea to South Africa; Indonesia; Philippines; Australia; Phoenix Island; Mediterranea (Israel); intertidal to 148 m (Chace, 1988: 90). Possibly also French Polynesia from Moorea Biocode project. Also French Polynesia, Réunion, ?Mayotte, ?Glorieuses.

Environnement : Marine - Substrat/Association : Hard bottom (rock and rubbles)

Vertical range : Shallow-waters (0-100 m) - Min-Max observed: 0-60 m

EASTER ISLAND - Synalpheus nr. tumidomanus. - DiSalvo et al., 1988: 458, tab. 4 (Easter Island, scuba dives 15-60m; det. D. Banner). - Remark: according to D'Udekem d'Acoz (1999: 106) this species includes three distinct sub-species, tumidomanus sensu strico being restricted to the Indo-Pacific. - FRENCH POLYNESIA - Moorea Biocode project (first record for FP) (as Alpheus cf. tumidomanus). - Leray, 2012: 200, Thesis, Table D1, Moorea.
