(Lorang et al., 2020, Zootaxa: 65) - This species (Fig. 7) occurs in Vanuatu (Tanna, Aneityum), Fiji, Samoa, Futuna and Marquesas archipelago. (In others places of French Polynesia it is 'replaced' by A. tahitensis).

In French Polynesia this species is only in the Marquesas; all others records in littérature are corrected into Atyoida tahitensis (see Lorang et al., Zootaxa, 2020). Records of A. pilipes in New Caledonia not valid (e.g. in Keith et al., 2002)
