MASDEA/AfReMas, Rosenberg (BD Internet ) - Indian Ocean, Red Sea, Eastern Africa, Somalia, Kenya, Tanzania, Mozambique, South Africa, Madagascar, India, Pakistan, Malaysia. Also Comoros (Mayotte).
Shih et al. (2018, ZooKeys) have restricted the distribution of T. urvillei to 'southeastern Africa' only (including Mayotte).

New genus Tubuca is from Shih et al. (2016, Raffles Bulletin). - New distribution of T. urvillei restricted to 'southeastern Africa' in Shih et al. (2018, ZooKeys), previous records of T. urivillei in Red Sea, Pakistan, India, Western Thailand being attributed to Tubuca alcocki Shih, Chan & Ng, 2018.
