Cabezas et al. (2010: 12) - New Caledonia, between 382 and 582 m. - Macpherson (2013: 307, Tropical Deep Sea Benthos) - Previously known from New Caledonia, at 382-582 m. The new material extends the distribution range to the Central Pacific (Tuamotu and Society archipelagos), at 326-540 m

Environnement : Marine - Substrat/Association : Associated with corals (facultative)

Vertical range : Deep (more than 100 m) - Min-Max observed: 326-582 m

Paramunida antares Cabezas et al., 2010: 11, Holotype: New Caledonia. NORFOLK 1. Stn DW1694, 24°40'S, 168°39'E, 24 June 2000, 575–582 m: M 9.0 mm (MNHN-Ga7470). Paratypes: New Caledonia. NORFOLK 1. Stn CP1670, 23°39'S, 167°59'E, 21 June 2000, 382–384 m: 1 M 5.0 mm, 1 F 9.2 mm (MNHN-Ga7471).

FRENCH POLYNESIA - Paramunida antares - Macpherson (2013: 307, Tropical Deep Sea Benthos) - French Polynesia. TARASOC: Tuamotu Archipelago, stn DW 3372 (Kaukura), 326-540 m, 1 male 13.0 mm (MNHN-IU-2010-6201). – Society Archipelago, stn DW 3413 (Bora Bora), 385-486 m, 2 females 5.2, 7.1 mm (MNHN-IU-2010-6202). – stn CP 3464 (Moorea), 460 m, 2 males 10.0, 12.9 mm (MNHNIU-2010-6203 and UF).
