World Distribution
(Poupin et al., 94): Eastern Australia New South Wales (Middelton & Elizabeth reef; Lord Howe Island; Yamba & Woolgoolga; Collaroy Beach and Maroubra bay, near Sydney) and Queensland (Flatrock, off Point Lookout); Norfolk Island; New Zealand (Kermadec Islands); New Caledonia; Vanuata; French Polynesia (Tuamotu: Fangataufa atoll); Easter Island.

Environnement : Marine - Substrat/Association : Associated with corals (facultative)

Vertical range : Shallow-waters (0-100 m) - Min-Max observed: 1-5 m

Central Pacific data (Wallis & Futuna, Polynesia, Clipperton, Easter Island)
EASTER ISLAND - Calcinus imperialis. - DiSalvo et al., 1988: 458 (scuba dives, 15-60; det. J. Haig). - Poupin et al., 2003: 94 (Easter Island: Thirty six specimens, all from Easter Island, 20 males 1.4-4.4 mm, 15 females 1.4-3.3 mm, 1 juvenile 1.3 mm. Forty six additional small specimens almost totally white (see remark), 28 males 0.9-2.0 mm, 11 females 1.0-2.1 mm, 7 juveniles 0.9-1.4 mm). - FRENCH POLYNESIA - Calcinus imperialis - Poupin, 1997: 697, fig. 3f, 5c, 7d (Fangataufa; coll. Frv Marara, fr) - Not C. imperalis - Poupin 1996a: 14, 76 (Moruroa, Tahiti; checklist) = C. isabellae Poupin, 1997.
