Probably not present in French Polynesia where this species is replaced by sibling Calcinus nitidus.
New family Calcinidae Fraaije, Van Bakel & Jagt, 2017, replaces Diogenidae. Calcinidae unaccepted in Poore & Ahyong (2023) (also WoRMS 2023)
