Anton Bruun cruise 9, MNHN Th-696, 1 specimen), Seychelles (Aldabar), Maldive, Indonesia, Taiwan, Japan, Philippines, Mariana, Wake I., Samoa, Papua New Guinea, French Polynesia.

Environnement : Marine - Substrat/Association : Soft bottom (mud or sand)

Vertical range : Intertidal - Min-Max observed: 0-5 m

Callianidea typa - Photograph in situ BOURJON Philippe (seizhavel), size about 1.5 cm, depth 10 cm, sand bottom, det. P. Dworschak with this comment 'there appear to be filaments on the pleopods, which directs to Callianideidae (Callianidea) or Micheleidae (Michelea). The massive major P1 with very short carpus and the long and slender minor P1 points to Callianideidae (Callianidea). There is only one species, Callianidea typa, known from the Indo-Pacific.' - Coll. BIOLAVE, 27/11/2011, shallow-waters, divers 10-30 m, det. J. Poupin 25/01/2013. - Bourjon et al., 2018 (Cah. Biol.
