EASTER ISLAND - Albuneidae sp. (1). - DiSalvo et al., 1988: 458, tab. 4 (Easter Island, scuba dives 15-60 m; det. N. Bahamonde; "N. Bahamonde of the University of Chile, Santiago, is currently describing a new albuneid crab obtained at Anakena Beach"; com. pers. N. Bahamonde). - Remarks: com. pers. N. Bahamonde, email April 2001 "The Albuneidae from Easter Island, mention by DiSalvo is now in the Hydrobiological section, Chilean National History Museum, Santiago"; however, no mention of a formal description for this species. Boyko (2002: 260) indicates that this record could belongs to a new species that he describes as Albunea bulla Boyko, 2002.
