Axiidae sp. - Poupin, 2005 : 20, unidentified sp. on outer slope of Tahiti, in front of Maeva beach hotel; known from photograph only (D. Pardon). A photograph of this species has been published in the tahitian newspaper 'La Dépêche', 31 August 1994, under 'Le homard aux pinces d'or'. - Bouvieraxius springeri - New determination, J. Poupin, February 13, 2012, based on color photograph of this species published by Kengsley (2003: 365, pl. 4), very similar for overall morphology and color pattern (see photos).
