Saint Laurent & Poupin (1996) for E. karubar (a synonym) - Indonesia (Kai Island)- 205-212 m. Also New Caledonia (Norfolk ridge). - Macpherson (2013: 291, Tropical Deep Sea Benthos) - Previously recorded from Taiwan, Philippines, Indonesia, New Caledonia, Hawaii, at 205-545 m. The specimens in French Polynesia were collected in the Tuamotu Archipelago, at 96-480 m.

Environnement : Marine - Substrat/Association : Associated with corals (facultative)

Vertical range : Deep (more than 100 m) - Min-Max observed: 96-545 m

Eumunida smithii - Macpherson (2013: 291, Tropical Deep Sea Benthos) - French Polynesia. TARASOC: Tuamotu Archipelago, stn DW 3357 (SW Kaukura), 480 m, 1 female 5.2 mm (MNHN-IU-2010-6175). – stn DW 3368 (Niau), 96-300 m, 1 ovigerous female 5.1 mm (MNHN-IU-2010-6174).
