Lemaitre (2014: 210, Raffles Bulletin) - Oncopagurus mironovi Zhadan, 1997, a taxon reported from the Nazca and Sala-y-Gσmez Ridges, is considered a junior synonym of the widely distributed O. indicus (Alcock, 1905).
