World Distribution
Komai (2010 : 1288, J. Nat. Hist.) - Previously known from Ryukyu Islands, Guam, New Guinea and Phuket, Thailand. Here newly recorded from the Philippines and New Caledonia; intertidal to 20 m. Also Europa Island, Juan de Nova, Glorieuses.

Europa Island (Mozambique Strait), and Réunion; coral reef, intertidal to 20 m (Komai & Osawa, 2007; Komai, 2010; Komai & Poupin, 2013; Komai & Rahayu, 2013; Bourjon et al., 2018). Newly recorded from Cocos (Keeling) Islands, intertidal to 6.9 m
