Pagurixus cavicarpus Komai, 2010: 1294, J. Nat. Hist. - Paratype. New Caledonia, coll. Y. Plessis, 1 female SL 1.9 mm (MNHN-Pg 1928).

Pagurixus n. sp. - unpublished sp., coll. G. Paulay (first record for FP), Pt. Faaupo, southern end of narrow fringing reef before it widens, octobre 21, 2001, photo GP 930-6, FLMNH-UF 1710, prov. det. T. Komai (pers. comm. May 2006 "a distinctive new species, most probaly a member of Pagurixus. It is quite distinctive in having Elassochirus-like right cheliped"). - Pagurixus cavicarpus Komai, 2010: 1294, J. Nat. Hist. - Holotype. Point Faaupo, Moorea, Society Islands, French Polynesia, 0–2 m, under rocks, 21 October 2001, coll. G. Paulay, 1 ovigerous female SL 2.3 mm (FMNH 1710).
