Mayotte data
Pilumnus longicornis Hilgendorf, 1878
Material examined — Mayotte KUW 2009, st. 23, Choizil pass, "Patate à Teddy", 15-30 m, 1 M 7.0 x 8.8 mm, 1 juv., 1 F 4.6 x 5.8 mm, MNHN-IU-2013-7234.
Other records — Pilumnus ?longicornis - Poupin et al., 2013c: 11, Glorieuses, Expedition Glorieuses December 2012 (new record), st. BIO 39, 1 sp. MNHN-IU-2013-7356 (perhaps not this species because mobile finger of larger chela as an unusual blade-like dorsal margin).
Remarks — Mayotte specimens were determined using Sakai (2004) and verification of male pleopod in Takeda & Miyake (1968: 51, fig. 13 d-f) but no comparison specimens were seen. These small crabs ressembles superficially to Eupilumnus calmani and Glabropilumnus laevimanus and were confused with these species after first sorting.
Geographic and depth ranges — IWP, Mozambique, Mayotte (this work), South Africa to Hawaii, Tuvalu; subtidal to 85 m.
