Holthuis (1991); Rudjakov et al. (1990) - East Pacific: off Chilean coasts roughly 29°-35°S, Islas Desventuradas, and near Juan Fernandez; Seamounts Sala y Gòmez and south-western part of Nazca ridge, 20°47'-21°25'S / 80°53'- 81°37'W - Deep (175-320 m).

Vertical range : Deep (more than 100 m) - Min-Max observed: 320-320 m

EASTER ISLAND - Projasus bahamondei - Rudjakov et al., 1990: 156 (Seamounts Sala y Gòmez and south-western part of Nazca ridge, 20°47'-21°25'S / 80°53'- 81°37'W; probably around 320m). - Parin et al., 1997: 146, 163 (List of Decapoda for the Nazca and Sala y Gòmez submarine ridges; "At depths less than 400 m the spiny lobster Projasus bahamondei is dominant to the east of 83°W" ...p. 176: "East of 84°W the traps caught many spiny lobsters Projasus bahamondei and crabs Chaceon chilensis while west of 84°W catches consisted mostly of crab Paromola japonica and five shrimp species").
