Mayotte data
Liomera striolata (Odhner, 1925)
Material examined — Mayotte KUW 2009, st. 23, Choizil Passe "Patate à Teddy", 15-30 m, 1 juv. 3.1 x 5.4 mm, pre-det J. Poupin September 2011 as L. cf. semigranosa, re-det. December 2017 as L. striolata, MNHN-IU-2009-3234.
Remarks — This very small specimen was attributed first to Liomera cf. semigranosa (registered as such in MNHN collection in November 2017). It was re-determined during this work as L. striolata based on remains of coloration observed on preserved specimen with six pale yellow longitudinal lines on carapace: two median lines behind either side of median sinus of the front and two lateral lines the innermost being behind the orbit. Serène (1984) has indicated that this color pattern is characteristic of the species. No photograph being available for Mayotte with live coloration a specimen from French Polynesia is presented herein on Figure x (Moorea Island, from Leray, 2012)
Geographic and depth ranges — IWP, Mayotte (this work), Seychelles to Japan, Guam, French Polynesia; subtidal.
