World Distribution
Nomura & Anker (2005: 132) - Widely distributed in the IWP. Madagascar, Chagos, Seychelles, Mauritius, Maldives, Japan, Taiwan. 'This species is the most common species of the A. gracilipes complex in Japan & Taiwan. Also French Polynesia, Glorieuses.
Environnement : Marine - Substrat/Association : Hard bottom (rock and rubbles)
Vertical range : Shallow-waters (0-100 m) - Min-Max observed: 1-10 m

Species of the A. gracilipes 'complex'. Nomura & Anker (2005, Crustacean Research) have revised the Alpheus gracilipes complex including 6 distincts species. Several of older records of A. 'gracilipes' must be revised according to their work.
