Comment: this species can be easily confused with Munidopsis longimanus and Mayo (1974: 111) must be carefully consulted to tell them apart using aspect of rostrum (larger at base and more acute at tip in M. brevimanus), length of cheliped (shorter in brevimanus) and abdominal tergites more or less (in M. brevimanus) strongly projected dorsally. M. longimanus has been also collected during Karubenthos II 2015.
