Comment: overall this specimen is similar to Munidopagurus macrocheles as illustrated in A. Milne-Edwards & Bouvier (1893, pl. 8, fig. 21). It seems that the species as never been reported since its description from Cuba (R/V Blake, off Havana, 175 brasses - 320 m). However, the occurrence of this species around Guadeloupe had been already reported by P. McLaughlin (com. pers.) during a sorting workshop in Paris MNHN, 2005, from collections made by D. Lamy in 2002-2003 with traps set at 100-300 m (sample not located for this work, probably in MNHN unregistered).
