P. varians typical in Griffin & Tranter (1986: 238) - Western Australia.

Environnement : Marine - Substrat/Association : Hard bottom (rock and rubbles)

Vertical range : Shallow-waters (0-100 m) - Min-Max observed: 0-5 m

Mayotte data
Pseudomicippe aff. varians - Expedition Glorieuses December 2012 (new record), st. BIO 37, 1 M 11.2x6.6 mm. Probably not P. varians as male pleopod is different from the one figured in Griffin & Tranter.
