Material examined — Mayotte KUW 2009, st. 12, La Prévoyante reef, 6-11 m, 1 M 5 x 7 mm, with sacculina, photo, 1 F with sacculina, 1 M juv., MNHN B32428, MNHN-IU-2009-1190; st. 17, northern reef, 22 m, 1 M 4 x 5 mm, det. September 2011, MNHN-IU-2009-2643.
Remarks — These two specimens confused with Domecia hispida in field notes but separated from this species by using Guinot (1964) key and the following characters: a) distal part of thoracic sternum short, not elongated; b) dorsal margin of P5 merus with spines only on its distal part.
Geographic and depth ranges — IWP, Tanzania, Mayotte (this work), Madagascar to Hawaii, French Polynesia; shallow subtidal to 75 m.
