Mithrax sp. (aff. acuticornis) - Carmona-Suárez & Poupin, 2016: 374, Guadeloupe, Karubenthos 2012, 1 female ov. 26.4 x 24.2 mm MNHN-IU-2013-4437 (lot JL1046; in loan with D. Felder, April 2014), st. GB33, 50 m; first identification as ‘Mithrax hemphilli’, 1 female MNHN-IU-2013-6754 (lot JL1283), st. GR42, 32 m.
Comment: These two Mithrax specimens are atypically setose. They can belong to a ‘setose’ form of N. acuticornis or to a new species. Specimen MNHN-IU-2018-4437 examined by D.L. Felder, May 2018 (com. pers.), attributed to an '?atypical from of Nonala holderi (Stimpson, 1871).

Comment(s) on data
Comment Carmona-Suarez - No match with Ratbhun (1925) key.

Mail Felder, April 2014 - The "Mithrax" is certainly that genus s.l., but I cannot likely place it to species on quick inspection of these photos. It is very atypically setose compared to those that I work with most. Can you higher
resolution photo of the 3rd maxil external surfaces (might help place it correctly among the new genera we have in press)? We (Amanda Windsor and I) are working extensively with western Atlantic Mithracidae molecular
phylogenetics. This would be an excellent one to include, if we could borrow it, compare morphology synoptically, and take some gill or muscle tissue for analyses. - THIS SPECIMEN IS IN LOAN WITH FELDER FOR FURTHER IDENTIFICATION
