Comment: this is a first record for Guadeloupe Island with collections also made during Karubenthos 2012 between 80-160 m using dredges and traps. There is some variation in the length of spines on the carapace and legs in specimens examined but in the range of variation illustrated by Gore & Scotto (1979, fig. 18).
