Poupin [male pleopod checked with Gore & Scotto (1979), to separate this specimen from P. serratus].
Comment: This species burries in the sediment. In Guadeloupe it was mostly collected by dredges during Karubenthos 2012, between 3-160 m. It seems to be common there although no previous records were retreived for Lesser Antilles before Karubenthos 2012. It is closely affiliated to Platylambrus serratus (H. Milne Edwards, 1834) and Gore (1977) and Gore & Scotto (1979) must be consulted to tell the two species apart, including examination of male pleopod. It is strange that all previous records in Lesser Antilles are of P. serratus with none of P. granulatus. It is therefore possible that the two species have confused in some cases.

Comment(s) on data
Not Platylambrus granulatus MNHN-IU-2013-4823, st. GD01, JL144_01, Photo - Based on photo, this is a Palicidae (J. Poupin, September 2016). Check sp.
