Felder et al. (2009) - Western Altantic - 50-370 m. NW Cuba, Antil, Brazil, Indo-Pac (nb, J. Poupin, probably not Eastern Pacific where its sibling species is T. efflorescens nor Indo-Pac, cf. Tan Thesis). - Tan (2004: 609, Thesis) - Western Atlantic only.

Environnement : Marine - Substrat/Association : Soft bottom (mud or sand)

Vertical range : Shallow to deep-waters (e.g. 10-190 m) - Min-Max observed: 50-370 m

Comment: Analogous species in the Eastern Pacific is Thyrolambrus efflorescens (Alcock, 1895).
