Comment: This species is treated as a synonym of Nemausa cornuta (Saussure, 1857) by Wagner (1990) but this opinion is not accepted by Felder et al. (2009, note n°308): 'While we adopt many of the synonymies suggested by Wagner (1990), we defer on treatment of Nemausa acuticornis as a junior synonym of N. cornutus, pending more thorough comparative study'. Due to the similarity between N. acuticornis and N. cornuta, Nemausa rostrata A. Milne-Edwards, 1875 is synonymized with one or the other in literature.
