World Distribution
Atlantic - West Atlantic: Bermuda; East coast of Florida; Bahama Islands, Grand Bahama Island; Netherlands West Indies, Bonaire; Panama, Golfo de Mesquites, Bahía de Almirante; Venezuela; Brazil, off northeast coast and off Rio Grande do Norte State. - Central Atlantic: Ascencion and St Helena Islands; off Brazil 03°17'S, 29°57'W, larvae. - East Atlantic: Madeira; Canary Islands (Cran Canaria, Hierro, Lanzarote, and Tenerife Islands); Gulf of Guinea (off Gabon and Annobon Island); Cape Verde Islands (Sal Island). Deep distribution: 5–201 meters (200 m is unusual, the species being mainly recorded around 15–30 m).
