Cancer affinis Desbonne, in Desbonne & Schramm, 1867: 24, Guadeloupe - Desbonne (1867) indicate for his new species 'espèce voisine de Cancer acanthus, mais beaucoup plus petite'. This record not retreived in WoRMS nor in Ng et al. (1998), indicated herein as possible junior synonym of Actaea acantha (H. Milne Edwards, 1834).
