Mithrax leucomelas Desbonne, in Desbonne & Schramm, 1867: 11, Guadeloupe [Habite les côtes rocheuses de la Guadeloupe ; trouvé au Moule, rare ; aucun spécimen de cette espèce n'a été retrouvé dans la collection laissée par le docteur Desbonnes]. - A. Milne-Edwards, 1873-1880: 97, Guadeloupe [… semble se rapprocher du Mithrax depressus, mais les caractères indiqués par I. Desbonnes ne sont pas suffisants pour permettre de réunir ces deux espèces]. - Mithrax(?) leucomelas - Rathbun, 1925: 421, Guadeloupe [Nothing is known of this species, except the original description by Desbonne. Schramm himself could not find the specimen described'].
Comment: This is a species Incertae sedis, with poor diagnose and no voucher. Perhaps a synonmy of Mithrax hispidus? Genus Amphithrax is from ‘Corrigendum’ by Windsor & Felder (2017).
