World Distribution
West Indian Ocean: South Africa (Natal), Kenya (Mombassa), Madagascar, Réunion, Mauritius (Port Louis), Seychelles (Amirante Islands). Indonesia: Java sea, Celebes (Menado), Moluccas (Ambon, Banda, Ternate); East Australia: Great Barrier reef (Heron Island), Sydney harbor. West Pacific: Japan, Taiwan; Central Pacific: Hawaii Islands (Hawaii, Maui, Oahu). Deep distribution: 0-100 meters (cf. Chan & Yu, 1993: 103). Plus French Polynesia, cf. this database and in situ photograph by P. Bacchet.

Environnement : Marine - Substrat/Association : Hard bottom (rock and rubbles)

Vertical range : Shallow-waters (0-100 m) - Min-Max observed: 10-100 m
