Comment: these specimens are attributed with hesitation to Pilumnus gracilipes with perphaps more thant one species on the photographs examined. Pilumnus gracilipes is still known from Barbados only (183 m; a female without its chelipeds). The present determination is based on figure in A. Milne-Edwards (1880, pl. 50, fig. 3, 3a) and aspect of the dactyl that is 'remarkably long' as stated by Rathbun (1930: 499).

Comment(s) on data
First id. as P. aff. sayi, but with several differences, e.g. no hepatic spines on dorsal carapace, chelipeds equal, no smooth area on outer palm, depth range of P. sayi typical to 90 m only;
