Distribution/Habitat – WA; Freshwater, brackish (estuary).
Remark – In Pimentel & Magalhães (2014: 1312, fig. 8) this species is distributed in WA, including 'Antilles, Central and South America, in Brazil (Pará, from Rio Grande do Norte to Rio Grande do Sul)'. The specimen in MNHN collection seems to be the first record of this species in French Guiana region. As the determiner is unknown it would be interesting to confirm this observation, even if the occurence of this species in the region is probable according to its global distribution.
