Chace (1972: 15) - Well near Sardinera, Isla Mona (Puerto Rico), Barbuda. - De Grave, S. 2013. Typhlatya monae. The IUCN Red List of Threatened Species - The species is widely distributed across the Caribbean islands (Botello et al. 2013), and is known from Mona Isl., Puerto Rico, Hispaniola, Barbuda, Curacao and San Andres. According to Botello et al. (2013), Typhlatya utilaensis is likely to be a synonym of this species, thus expanding the known range of the species to Utila (Honduras).
