Comment(s) on data
See specimens from Moorea/Biocode 2006. One sp. (coll. Poupin near Opunohu, land) is setose + carapace pitted. Not Epigrapsus notatus (Heller) which has 2 indentations on anterolateral margin of carapace (Moorea sp. with 1 indentation only). Perhaps a juvenile of E. politus.

E. politus reported by error from Taiaro atoll by J. Poupin (field notes) confused there with Cyclograpsus integer.
In November 2002, Austral Is., Raivavae, E. politus observed by J. Poupin/T. Molostova but no specimens or photo retrevied to confirm this observation.
