Distribution/Habitat – WA; Marine; 1–12 m (to 140 m from present record).
Remark – Usual range of this species is Gulf of Mexico and Lesser Antilles. Suriname is the new southern limit at a new maximum depth. This record should be confirmed as this is a species associated with gorgonacean octocorals.
Comment(s) on data
Chace (1972: 118) - Apparently always associated with gorgonacean octocorals. The species was recorded with certainty from Pseudopterogoria acerosa and P. americana.
