(Internet) - Tropical Western Atlantic [WA]: Caribbean: presently reported only from Los Roques archipelago; possibly also in the Netherlands Antilles (Curaçao, Aruba) (A. Anker, pers. obs.)

Comment : This is a species of the Alpheus armatus species complex, with five species; characters useful for separation are in Almeida & Anker (2011). Obligate associate of sea anemone (e.g. Bartholomea annulata).
