Lepidopa scutellata - Stimpson, 1858: 230; 1859: 79, St Thomas - Not Thia scutellata (Fabricius) cf. Boyko (2002: 396) but L. richmondi instead.
Lepidopa scutellata - Schmitt, 1924a:96, Barbados - Not Thia scutellata (Fabricius) cf. Boyko (2002: 396) but Lepidopa sp. indet. with this remark 'Although it is very possible that Schmitt (1924) did have a Lepidopa larva, its identity cannot be determined. Given the Barbados locality, it was probably either L. richmondi or L. luciae, n. sp., both of which have been collected in nearby Trinidad'.
