Gelasimus palustris H. Milne Edwards, 1852: 148, 'Antilles', in part Martinique - Gelasimus palustris H. Milne Edwards, 1852 is accepted as Minuca rapax (Smith, 1870) but Crane (1975: 325) indicate that '1 dry specimen from Martinique in MNHN labeled 'U. palustris' is U. thayeri'.
