Distribution/Habitat – WA (French Guiana as southern limit); Marine (associated with echinoderms); 0–10 m (to 67 m from present occurence).
Remark – This species is formally reported only from the Gulf of Mexico and Lesser Antilles (Poupin, 2018). The identifier of the specimens from French Guiana is not known (probably Z. ?uriš). This observation represents a significant extension range of the species to the south but it should be confirmed more formally.

Comment(s) on data
Felder et al. (2009, note 36) - While no published records exist from outside the GMx, recently collected specimens from the Caribbean coast of Panama appear to be morphologically very near this species (S. De Grave, personal communication).
Symbiotic shrimp on a basket star of the genus Astrophyton (Ophiuroidea)
