Panopeus herbstii forma obesa Smith - Rathbun, 1930: 342-343, St Martin, Curaçao. - Rathbun, 1936: 385, Bonaire [coll. P. Hummelinck, 1930].
Comment: According to geographical distribution of P. obesus in Felder et al. (2009), Rathbun's records are possibly of Panopeus lacustris, especially as some of Rathbun records are indicated as 'between forma obesa and crassa' and as P. herbstii forma crassa is currently accepted as P. lacustris (see that species).
