Vertical range : Shallow-waters (0-100 m) - Min-Max observed: 0-50 m

Distribution: ICA (Trinidad), IOV (off Margarita). 0-50 m. WA (continental).
Polyonyx gibbesi - Gore, 1974: 713, off Venezuela, between Margarita, Trinidad [R/V Pillsbury, st. P-710, 47-46 m, 10°47.6'N, 62°56'W]. - Rodríguez et al., 2005: 568, Trinidad.

Comment(s) on data
Comment: not really a species from Lesser Antilles, only off Venezuela and Trinidad. Rodríguez et al. (2005) indicate that 'The distribution of this species is mostly antitropical; it is sporadically found in tropical waters'.
Nonetheless, the species is found in Greater Antilles (Cuba, Puerto Rico), thus potential in Lesser Antilles.
