Pasiphaea merriami - Guadeloupe (first record for Lesser Antilles), Karubenthos II 2015, field det. J. Poupin [Carapace and rostrum agree well with drawing in Tavares & Cardoso, 2006, fig. 1a, Zootaxa; this is the single species of Pasiphaea in the Gulf of Mexico], st. CP4608, 24 June 2013, 16°15.02'N, 60°50.8'W, 618-632 m, MNHN-IU-2013-19047.
Comment: shape of rostrum and aspect of carapace of Karubenthos specimen similar to Tavares & Cardoso (2006, fig. 1a). Pasiphaea merriami is the sole species of the genus in the Gulf of Mexico.
